I got to take the RG out for a nice ride today. For those of you who know Heidelberg I rode up through the Odenwald to Konigstule and then back down into Heidelberg.
Here is the RG near the Heidelberg Schoss and Dom.
Got home and installed the fairing lowers and EG Ultra Classic seat.
The seat of course was a simple to install and the lowers were not bad. Had a problem with the top screw on the left side. It is at a very bad angle and you can not get a screwdriver in there. I ended up having to carefully use a pair of pliers. The instructions for the fairing lowers say to move the clutch cable from behind the engine guard to in front of it. I did not and it did not affect the install.
Nice lookin' ride Bert. The scenery is great as well. Was at Rien Mien AFB once, for about 15 or 16 hours. Don't remember much about the scenery there though, but I think it was nice.
Them Roadglides are nice bikes. My son got his 07 about 4 wks ago. He has let me ride it several times[sm=yikesomg.gif]not enough for me. But he keeps it in my garage and leaves the extra key at the house so when he is at work I think I just might take me another ride.
I've been to Europe more times than I can count. I've always wanted to ride over there, but never had the chance. What's the general attitude towards Harley's there in Germany, especially since BMW puts out some fantastic bikes?
Man, that's beautiful. Europe seems to be very cool, having a lot more old architecture than the US (since we are a relatively young country, compared to Europe). I'd love to tour Europe on my bike, but realistically don't see that happening.

There are a lot of Harleys over here and many more touring and softails than Sportsters or Dynas. The V-Rod is also much more popular over here and the XR1200 will be released in Europe before it is released in CONUS.
I was talking to a motorcycle Polizei this evening and joked to him that I feel sorry that they do not get to ride Harley's. He was quick on the come back and said they do not want their bikes in the workshop every two weeks! [&:]
