You could also try this style windshield from http://www.customflhtwindshields.net/about.htm
They are a couple inches wider on each side.

I'm 5'10 have a 6in Windvest Recurve n solid Black love it. Short enough that I like look jus tall enough to work well that recurve really pops wind over head much better than the 6in Clearview i had before.

Last time I was at the dealer I saw a display stand of demo windshields. I didn’t ask about it but assume they let you mount and try them out.

I am 5’8” also, with a SG w/Corbin Solo and 6.5” Clearview Recurve. I don’t have the Fork Deflectors but do have the Front Fork Air Baffle and I don’t get excessive buffeting.

Ok, I apologize for my comment. Just that I am really frustrated pouring money into motorcycle crap that either doesn't fit or doesn't work. We have no real stores with any kind of inventory around here and I have to order everything. It's clear this windshield thing is going noplace. I appreciate all the comments, but it looks like everybody has their own favorite windshield and they are all different!

The stock shape 6" windshield that came with the bike was completely unsatisfactory. After talking to them and following their guidelines to the letter I ordered a 9" Long Ride reverse lip shield. To be blunt, it s***s. Pretty heavy buffeting around ears and head. So maybe I don't want one of these look over reverse lip shields. But I only got one more shot at this this. I don't know if I should just get a reverse lip shield and order a higher one and look through it, order a stock Harley shape shield high enough to cover head or something else.

I have just been looking at the Nation City Vstream shield. But they are either 10" or 14". 10 seems like it may be too low and 14" seems a bit high. I'm totally lost. Can anyone help. glad to provide more info if needed. PS: I'm 5'8" tall.
12inch is stock on Electra Glides. I haved tried them all and have them all lol!!i think you may like a 10 inch recurve

Hey Splais1,

Do you have a fork baffle...they do make a difference for me on helmet buffeting.

If you don't mind looking thru a windshield. the LSR 12" flat top does a good job at blocking almost all the air. It is wider than the stock shield, plus it has a recurve. That is what I use during the winter to keep the cold air off me AND my passenger. When you look at it you will see why, it is a monster! I think with it it is impossible to get any head buffeting from up front.
