iceman, it is 285* cylinder head temp. not oil temp. there is gonna be a huge difference between the 2.
there is a lot of confusion about the eitms. all the rider can do is enable/disable this feature. it is up to the ecm to 'activate' or 'deactivate' based on a set of parameter pre-programmed into the computer.
engine cht greater than 285*
throttle is at idle
veh speed less than 1 mph
engine rpm less than 1200 rpm
