Default pc3 vs pcv

tried looking this up but couldnt find a solid answer. deciding on getting a power commander and then getting the bike dynoed. whats the differences between the 3 vs 5 besides the 5 being smaller?

Newer is better. Do yourself a big favor and call or email Fuelmoto. Keith or Jamie will give you the truth and they are second to none with service (double the warranty), best price and MAPs for your present setup and future mods. No way to go wrong dealing with them.

The V is smaller than is the III which is for older bikes.
The good news is that the V's can be retro-fitted to work with the older bikes.
I would pass on the III. It is too big, size wise.
The V fits under your seat.

Look at the features on Dynojet's website. The 5 is significantly more configurable than the 3. If Fuelmoto has the 5 for your year bike, that's the way to go. Power vision is another option, but I don't have any personal experience with it.

Buy either from Fuel Moto and you may want to forgo the dyno expense. The opinions you received here are very good, but knowing the year and model of your bike would help. The PCIII won't work with newer bikes, but the PCV is compatible with any Delphi EFI (2002 and above). Older bikes without ABS should fit a PCIII behind the right side cover where the ECM resides without any problem.

If you decide on a PCIII, consider the Fuel Moto tuner instead. It's a PCIII with an FM logo, no hardware buttons, and is cheaper. You likely would never use the hardware buttons anyway. The most notable virtues of the PCV besides size is the ability to connect a map switch without adding an expensive Multifunction Hub, compatibility with the optional Auto-Tune kit, and it has more features for advanced users. If you have a choice, I would spend the extra money and buy the PCV.

Thanks for the input , I will have to check fuel Moto out... My bike is a 2009 hd rk , I was told after getting the commander and I plan on putting a btc baffle in to get it dynoed. Is there any reason not to?

Not to hyjack the thread but is the PCV a plug and play? and if you tell FM what you've got for mod's they already set up a map for it right? Prob can ask FM but is there a tutorial on the PCV? I think I can answer the OP's last question on the dyno.......it's probably because they set up a map for the mod's you tell them you have and the PCV takes it from there. Where's the O2 sensors once it's plugged in, do they do away?

I have not heard that. If it is a concern for you then I would suggest looking at the Power Vision, if that fails it will not leave you stranded as it programs the ECM directly.
