SADDLEBAGS, WILL THEY WORK??!!!!
Hello vtwin world. listen, i need to know if the hard saddle bags from a roadking can mount right up to a road king classic. i have a 2004 road king classic with leather bags. i want to put some hard bags on. the bags in question comes off a 1996. does anybody know for sure if they mount right up? the mounting looks like it shouldnt have a problem, but you know, an 8th of an inch means everything. also, what would be a roundabout price to color match those hard bags to my hog? it lava red. i need to know asap. thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im fairly certain the mounts on the inside of the bags will be a perfect fit, I know a guy that put hard bags on a R.K. custom, however im not sure of the bottom supports. Also I know the saddle bag guard in the front of the bags is different between the two bikes. Easiest way to find out is try it. But Im sure your not the first one to do this so surely some one one the forum will know.

I agree. I believe they will work fine with no problems. My ride is a classic and it had leather bags on it when I got it. I ordered hard bags for it with no problems. I am not sure if they have changed the hard bags over the years, but I doubt it enough to make a difference.

They will work fine. Had a friend that went from hard to leather with no problems. The mounting points have quite a bit of adjustment in them, so if the fit is not exact, the points can be adjusted to compensate.
