Default Seat Help

I am weighing my options on seats. I am 5’ 9” (168 lbs) have the 52164-10 low seat and it’s not quite enough. Though I can “flat foot” it is only with boots and then my hips feel spread. The stock seat is comfortable when riding (but who doesn’t want more?). My options are as follows.

1. Get boots resoled and lifted? Limiting
2. Get the reach seat, does the reduction in padding affect the comfort?
3. By spare seat and send to MCC, can’t send stock seat as this is a daily ride.
4. Can’t do hard seats (Corbin/Mustang) boney bottom (I know TMI).

For those with the sundowner I have heard it raises you up and forward , is this compared to stock (non low) seat, and is this when riding or is the nose of the seat narrow enough that it doesn’t affect standing? Thank you for any help/insight.

Sounds to me as if you are fine. Do nothing! Ride on and as you get more experienced and familiar with your bike you will also get more confident. This flat-footing thing is a modern fad and you don't need to do it!

I'm with grbrown. I have a Road King Classic, stand 5'8" with a 30" inseam, ride in cowboy boots, and JUST flatfoot when stopped. I just bought a Corbin to replace my Mean City Cycles modified Sunowner as the Corbin Dual Touring seat is the most comfortable and best fitting saddle I've ever ridden. Had a Corbin on the softail I traded for the RKC. I feel very comfortable and confidently in control of the bike when stopped.
