AN's backplate is made in I believe Korea, if thats not it its one of the asian countries. The filter is made in America. And the backplates are notorious for breaking.
Fual motos on the other hand is made in America.
AN is good about replacing the backplates free of charge, but.......how long is youre motor suckin dirt and **** in before you notice it
It pisses me off that AN knows this is a constant problem, and instead of making a better plate, they just keep replacing them.

I am buying a AC hand made in stone mountain Georgia. I have it on order and hope to get it soon but they are backordered. Very expensive but once I seen it, there is no other AC that I will have.

This pic is from his website.

I've been running Arlen Ness air cleaners on three different bikes now. My wife's 2010 SG Trike for 23K. Her 2012 Triglide for 11K and my 2010 RK 26K miles with no problems. Maybe you are talking about the cheapest backing plate they make. The ones I've got look just like the SE Backing plate's.

They'll all perform similarly but some look better than others. Here's mine,

If you want your 08 & up Touring Bike to run better remove your SE A/C and replace it with a Boyesen Power X Intake ,,,It's not how much air you get in the motor ,,It's how the Air gets in the motor

Any dyno sheets with a back to back comparison?

My opinion is that there is no significant difference. It's either a high flow, or it's not. One high flow is not going to give any significant performance difference over another.
