Default AC's: is there a real difference?

I'm looking to add a hi-flow (or at least better than stock) AC. Your threads have been very helpful, but I'm seeing a wide range in pricing and they all pretty much look the same (except for the covers). Is there any real difference in their performance? Or can I just go with the AN modle?

No real difference in performance, but some similar products are better than others.

For example, I would go with the Fuel Moto A/C over the SE A/C

And I'd never put a Hypercharger on, apologies in advance to Hypercharger owners.

Beyond that, its cosmetics IMHO

Nope, no hyperchargers on my ride. But thanks for the reply. Mechanically I couldn't see a difference , but like your tips reagrding FM vs. SE. This is good info.

So would you pick the FM over AN or V&H?

I like Fuel Moto as a company, and it is a great product (better than HD and less money, shocking!), but I have no info on the Arlen Ness part. I'm sure its fine.

V&H again would be a style choice, really.

Almost anything is better than the OEM, the SE with a K&N filter is great. I have to agree with the thumbs down on the Kury Hypercharger, I can talk because I had one.

i chose the SE becuase i like the look better, they all will be better than stock. if you try one against the other i honestly dont think you will feel a difference in any of them by riding

Which ever looks best to you. As long as it lets the air in and is made well it really doesn't matter.

I like the Arlen Ness over the SE. You don't have to remove the throttle body bracket. It's cheaper and made in the USA. Uses the same filter type as K&N, but they won't interchange. Bolt holes don't line up.

HD Heavy breather outperforms all others. The velocity stack increases speed which increases actual flow. Look at K&N dynos on both the regular high flow open air filter versus the forward facing stack unit. Besides pulling cooler air from front versus hot air from behind the jugs, It also gives more knee room and looks better.

I can't find anything that says the Big Sucker is made in the USA. Are you sure?
