Having ridden nearly 10k miles on my 06, and 1200 miles on an 07, I could say that I would not trade my 06 RK custom for any 07 Harley. Even in a straight up swap. (well, OK. Maybe I would trade even for a Screaming Eagle UC, but thats it)

Eeeecccchhhhh! Well, I have an 07 FLHRS in Cobalt Blue on order, dealer had an 06 FLHRSI in light blue on the floor, $2,000 off.
But, for $2,000 you cannot get a year newer, engine upgrade, and 6-speed upgrade IMO.
Ithink the 07 heat / drivability isues are nothing more than a few tweaks / tuner away from fixing. Not defending HD but they don't go through all that time / expense and build a bad bike, plus warranty stands behind it.

I tend to agree with you. Let us not forget, that not too many months ago when my 06 was still showroom new, I was complaining about the injectors. It was really a pisser, but they were swapped out after a little effort on my part. Been smilinâ ever sinceâŚ..
I got a 07 SG for 1500 off of MSRP, plus over 1100 worth of access put on for near cost and this is no bull. But my family has bought alot of bikes. I like the new motor and I think the resale will be higher. But really there is no correct answer, You have to go with what YOU want. YOU have to make up your mind and go with it, a buddy of mine bought a 06 and regrets it everyday. He is sick! 22K and no 96 ci or 6 spd. then others are happy. Another buddy got so mad he ripped his 88 out out and put in a 103 .... in his 06 model ... that really pissed off HD .... LOL .... he bought his 2 weeks before the new ones come out and the dealer told him straight up .... NO changes were on the way ..... and then WAM there they were the 96 CI. Some dealers didn't even know and some did.
Buy what you want and never look back, its about the ride not the CI or the tranny!!!
'07...love the new tranny and engine. Zero problems with 2500 miles, although I had lot's of problems with my 3 prior Harleys. However, the moco has always done the right thing.
Good luck and am sure you will enjoy whatever you get.
I agree, they'll be out in about 7 mos. If you buy an '07 you'll wish you waited for the '08. Wait, maybe you should wait for the '09's, their sure to be much improved over the '08.[sm=goodidea.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=laughat.gif]
