I've had my Glide Dyno'd 3 times at 3 different dealers in the St Louis area. No one has been able to get rid of my popping. They keep telling me it's normal. I've called V&H about my Propipe as well. I'm going to live with it for now. I have a SEPST, SE A/C, and Chrome Propipe. That combination hasn't been good to me. Other people I've talked to about a Propipe haven't had any problems with popping. The HD Dealer Techs see me coming and shake their heads. I don't hear other bikes popp, but I've done everything I can to fix it. Without an exhaust change, I don't think there is a fix. It intermittently popps on upshifting and decel. I can't find any pattern to it.
What does popping on deceleration usually an indication of? I've recently had my bike Dyno Tuned.
A perfect mixture of air and fuel.

Yep, if it's not an exhaust leak 99.9% can be tuned out.

Depending on the calibration that is where your injectors "turn" back on.

That's usually the method that works for the pop during decel. Before doing this you have to be sure that you are not normally running at less than 30 kpa. Sometimes you have to increase the ve tables instead, but only as a last resort.

That's when you adjust the de table. The de table is used for transitional fuelling and is only active for ms.

0% column from 1500 up. Adding 5% is the first step, you may need to add more. No change in idle speed.
Ral819 - I could be wrong but that SEPST might be your issue. It isn't as tunable as the SERT. The 0% column is how much gas is given when the throttle is at 0. Not being tunable shouldn't be a big problem because the fuelpak I have isn't tunable either and I have no decel popping. I do also have the Harley stage 1 download and never had decel popping before the fuelpak. I have BUB7 slip-ons and V&H dresser duals. Guess I am just lucky with the whole popping issue
PS - I have never had a dyno tune. Don't plan to either
Decel pop is caused by either a too lean condition at 0% throttle or an exhaust gasket leak causing unburned exhaust gasses to combust in the pipes.
If you just got it tuned it may need some fuel added @ 0% throttle, that's if it didn't pop before the tune. Mine popped on decel so I added 5% fuel and problem solved.
Check your fuel map, I've got 5% more added from 0-1250 RPM. I have just a little pop on decel, but I believe with slip-ons that's normal.

Can you look in the fuel tables and tell us what Jamie changed from your original map? That would help by comparing what everyone else might be doing.

Richard, Is the kPa on the TTS the 20% throttle position or does it mean something else?

Get into the tables and iron it out yourself, there are so many good threads on the subject along with some really knowledgeable members on this forum. There's a lot of satisfaction knowing you straightened it out yourself...and next time your at the dealership you can rub it in their faces by telling em how you fixed it.
