My o5 roadking calls for 32 ounces of oil. You are 4 ounces over. Maybe that what is wrong?

My 07 manual says a wet primary change requires 38 ounces so that shouldn't be it. I just happened to be looking that up today so it's fresh in the noggin. I'm at a loss too. You did say leaking between primary and trans not the inspection/refill plate correct?

Yeap i got out the mirror and can see its leaving a little residue \ trail, its not leaving puddles just a couple drops after riding and parking it. I was wondering if a thicker primary oil was in there before thats why it didnt leak?

You probably just hit the nail on the head. I would think it might make a little more noise as well though.

07 and later(96 cu in) take 38 oz. 06 and earlier (88 cu in) take 32 oz if I'm not mistaken.

lray, you need to enlarge your signature, that statement should be more pronounced and easy to read.

So I`m thinking about putting in the older style primary oil or 80w90 and only 32 ounces and see what happens even thou its shifting good and not making any excessive noise when shifting.

You never get it all out, it may hold 38 oz but you probably put in less than 32 oz to get it back up to full. Do it visually, when you can see it cover the bottom your about there.
