Have an 08 Ultra and put mine at 36/40, F/R, and since I have the low profile shocks I'll run about 45 with the wife on and 45-48 when traveling loaded. Been on the Dragon and roads down around Eureka Springs with no problems.

I've ran my tire pressures at max pressure as declared on the sidewall by the manufacturer. I always seem to get excellent wear following these inflations. On my flhtx I run 41psi front and 42 rear. At 10,700 miles at this time and there appears to be a lot of tread left. As far as shocks I'll run at 10% of the total rider and luggage weight with the max at 50psi. I run at 25psi when riding solo and I weigh 215 lbs but take into consideration leathers and other articles that are on the bike most of the time.

I have Dunlop ELite 3's and run 38 & 40 psi. I get 17,000 miles out of the tires and seem to have a good ride and good handling.

When a tire is too low the sidewalls flex more when rolling, leading to more heat which leads to more rapid wear and possible breakdown of the tire. The rear should never be below 40, the front never below 36 with 38-40 acceptable. Its a hell of a lot safer.
