Default What Parts To Order??? HELP!!!

I just purchased a 2012 SG (FLHX) and I was wanting to add a bike to bike (CB) module with the Music/Intercom feature, but I think my dealer is trying to sell me a bunch of s#it!!!

They first told me that I would have to buy both kits relating to the Music/Intercom. Then I was told in-order to get the left hand control I would have to buy the Boom!™ Audio Communications Switch Kit.

Doesn’t the Music/Intercom kit provide the left hand control?

Doesn’t this kit also provide the 7 pin headset pods for driver and passenger?

I know to make it work I need a software update and to purchase the Non-Ultra Overlay Harness with the frame mount CB antenna Since the bike does not have the tour-pack.

But wouldn’t it just require the Music/Intercom Kit PN# 77108-09A since I am adding the bike to bike (CB) module PN#76416-06C to the bike, with the Boom Audio System Wiring Harness PN# 70169-06A and the Frame Mount Antenna PN#76410-09?

I would really like to order this stuff, get it done and over with, but I ordered passing lamps when I purchased the bike. Where I was told I had to order bullet front turn signals, even though the SG already comes equipped with bullet turn signals.

But, after the passing lamps were installed I asked for the old turn signals back. Only to find that the ones that was ordered was still in the parts department stock room and the original turn signals was re-installed on the bike.

Whats Up With That!
If someone could help me sort this out so I don’t get burned
I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Bill

If you follow the first link you posted you will see a link to a comprehensive installation guide. Looks to me as if that should answer your question on what else you need. My reading of it is that you get everything you need in the kit, so you could simply buy it, which will give you the detailed instructions for installing it.

I did what you are planning to do: used the 77108-09A kit with the non-Ultra overlay harness, 70169-06A, and HD cb module. I used J&M's in-fairing CB antenna.

As you probably know, you can download the installation instructions (which includes a comprehensive parts list) for the 77108-09A from HD's website and confirm what you'll need; i.e. the module, harness, and CB antenna.

You'll need a dealer download to flash the HK head unit to turn on the intercom function; no download is needed for the CB function.

Good luck with your project.
