I recently had a 103 build done with 255 cams. No head work, or big compression change.
Tech said 9 times out of 10 Compression releases arent necessary. So I went without
After build I noticed the Starter having issues at warm or hot start up. Tech changed tables to ease starting and we also replaced battery. It was decided I would need MCRs.
A buddy of mine suggested I change my habits and pull clutch at start up. I said I always start in Nuetral. He asked me to humor him and give it a try. My buddy was right. It seems pulling in the clutch does alleviate starter issues
I have the same build and later had to install CR's, after replacing two starter clutches and going to the SE compensator. I believe the info with the 103/SE255 kit now recommends ACR's.
