09 Rd king tends to pull to the left unless i sit off center on seat. This has been an issue for some time. Local Hd dealer said clutch cable will cause this, and it does to some extent. Also said all H-D bikes pull left, Normal? That was last year, This spring I had new tires (front and rear) replaced at dealer Then noticed a shake/wobble in handle bars starting at about 40 mph. replaced brake rotors thinking warped rotor might cause this. Also removed windshield for test ride, no change. Back to dealer who looked things over again. They checked front tire for balance, steering head within specs. Told me this was normal also. Any thoughts or experience with this? Bike has 17000 miles. Thanks for any info
first thing to check on a pulling bike is heavy stuff in one saddlebag- really.
after that it is checking the complete chassis alignment and drivetrain alignment
warped brake rotors will only show themselves when the brakes are applied- so that was not a good diagnosis
the steering head is properly checked with the clutch cable disconnected AND the wiring harness disconnected at the neck- these can both pull the front end when doing the fall away test.
ASK the dealer if this was done.
ASK the dealer if the fork oil was changed and correct amounts put in.
Document all questions & actions of the dealer and let them know you are doing so ( this allows them to consider the liability they may have in a mishap)
1 have only had 6 Harleys ranging from 53 to 09- all of them went straight as an arrow as long as I was nbalanced and the bike was in good shape
btw welcome to the forums
& think about finding another shop

did they check too see if the rear tire was square?
I have heard it before, as long as you can adjust yourself on the seat it's within spec, I never asked to see this peticular ''spec'', I also never saw this service dept again.
No way is that normal. My ultra goes straight and I've spent time on my friends '12 RKC and it doesn't pull either. I have heard over and over again to have the spokes checked. Any other mods to the bike.
My RKC was wobbling on a ride this weekend. Jacked up the rear and discovered the rear wheel spokes were very loose. Tightened up the spokes and the bike felt perfect.
It's the head bolt. Especially if wobble is limited to the 40-50 speed range. My old fatboy had to have that tightened about every 20k miles or the wobble would start up
This is the second "wobble" thread by members with less than 10 posts. I mean really!?!? The H-D dealer said it was normal to have to sit on the side of the seat to counteract a pull to the left caused by the clutch cable!?!?! Really? BS alert!
