I was just wondering if other have the same issue on long rides. I get a lot of pain in my inner thigh area from my knees up. Cant figure out why unless im not letting my legs relax enough or maybe its old age. If you do is there anything you guys do to prevent the problem? Strange question I know but you never know the answer to anything unless you ask.

Sounds like your seat is messin with your nervs. Maybe you need floorboard extensions to put your hips in a better spot or a taller seat?
Do you have highway pegs? If not, try some. I don't get pain in my inner thighs but I do have quite a few aches and pains riding or not so I am often changing my feet and leg positions on long rides. Works for me. On really long rides I spend more time with my feet on the highway pegs than on the floor boards.

Do you get it when you're riding? I used to get that after a long ride, especially early in the season. It was just from fighting the air with your legs, not really relaxing them enough to just let them be. Sort of like those thigh masters they used to advertise on TV, your'e always squeezing against the wind. If so, you need to change leg position more often or stop and walk around. Maybe hug the tank a while, conciously relax and let the wind blow your legs, just don't tense up. I used to get it much more on my shovelheads with forward controls, no window, no fairing, etc. than I do on my Street Glide
I have two sets of pegs that actually gives me three positions for my feet and legs. On the upper pegs, I can put my legs over them, set the cruise control and take a real break.
However, folks our age should take a break every 90 minutes to walk around and drain our bladders.
I sat on an almost $900 Zepplin seat at the H-D dealership yesterday and it was nice but I'd be willing to bet that your butt would still get tired riding it after a while.
i agree with the above, changed my seat and the highway pegs i use all the time. ive never had a backrest but i know everybody loves them thtat i ride with

Here is my trick for sciatic nerve pain relief while riding:
Whenever needed, I sit as straight as possible, stretch both shoulders to the back and breathe deeply by moving the belly forward.
This reminds me of the DOG position in yoga where you temporarily stretch your spine in an opposite curvature than the riding position.

I've been having some of the same pain. It almost feels like a cramp in my inner thigh just below my groin area. When it happens I realize I'm not relaxing my legs. I'm squeezing them together against the tank. I have a good seat with rider backrest and footpegs. I just have to realize what I'm doing and relax my legs. change foot position or stop and take a break.
Had the pain couple of months ago on trip to Tenn. did not get it last week to Americade. I have pegs and backrest for both rides I too feel it has to do with tensing your legs against wind.
