So I'm driving home from work today and a bike on the side of the road that's For Sale catches my eye. Black cherry 2007 Road King with 17,000 miles. Not a lot of options on it, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I didn't buy it yet; but it got me thinking. I am in the market to upgrade and upsize from my Sporty. And I've been thinking Fabtboy. But this one looks like a fatboy on steroids! So I'm interested in everyone's thoughts on a 2007 RK with 17000 miles? For $11,500 (asking).
Also, any known problems with RK's? Maintenance issues? Headaches? This IS a 6speed, yes?
That is a Road King Custom same as I have. I would buy it. The passenger back rest, luggage rack and passenger floor boards are extras. Hopefully it has a Stage 1. It has low mileage. No known negative issues. I love mine and have had no problems in over 40k miles.
Buy it quick.
Funny that you referred to it as a Fatboy on steroids. I always thought the Road King Custom was like a FatBoy tourer. I also wanted a Fatboy but the RK Custom won me over.
