You'd think/hope that there are cameras at every entry and exit point on the base--so, should be relatively easy to find the SG entering the post w/o the luggage rack, and the same bike exiting with your luggage rack--if the guy with the SG actually took it.
Did you make a report with the mp's,then make a claim with legal.
I did make a report with the MPs, but its easier to buy a new one and would cost just as much in deductibles.
I am really temped to ride over Fort Hood tomorrow and look for the bike, but I doubt I will find him. It rained on my way home today so we will see. Fort Hood has 60,000 Soldiers and well over 5,000 bikes.
The MPs are looking to see if the building has a camera in the parking lot (its the main in and out processing center), but you would never see the bike leaving post. Fort Hood has over 11 gates
Yeah, my full face got jacked at an MC event. Whatever happened to protocol at these events?
Posers, that's what happened. Gone (mostly; there are still some good stories out there) are the days of MC brotherhood. You gotta lock your **** up now - it sucks.
You can keep looking around the base, but I would be checking out Craigslist and eBay. I know two people who had things stolen and found them for sale on those sites. Both contacted police and lowlife's were busted.
Ouch, I work on Ft Hood as well, guess I'll be locking up the tour pack and saddle bags now. I'm with you, I'd of thought you wouldn't need to worry about that kind of crap on a military installation...scumbags are everywhere.
