nice rides around Staunton VA?

ANY part of Route 66 in WV......awesome country between Va and WV.
Rte 33 is nice too.....
Jump on Hwy 33 East (towards WV), go over Shannedoah Mtn...Nice Mtn Road...Stop at the top at the VA/WV border, great look out. Eat at a little place called Fatboys BBQ in the little town at the bottom of the mountain. It will be on the left. Or, there are some restaurants in Franklin, WV, the next town. You would hit 220 North in Franklin.
When you hit 220 North, follow that until it hits 55 East. On Hwy 220, stop at the old Smoke Hole bridge. It's a great little creek to look at. You can also take a little side trip down to Smoke Hole Canyon (Very pretty down there).
55 East will run to I-81. You coud run South on I-81 back to Staunton. If you don't want to run the slab, stay on 55 until you hit Hwy 11 and run South back to Staunton.
Hwys 33, 220, and 55 will probably be about 100 miles.
Beautiful mountains, farm land, creeks, country towns, and crooked roads.
I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

One I have read about, but haven't done that is near Staunton is 42. Take 250 West out of Staunton and head north on 42. Supposed to be a great ride.
