Sorry for your temporary loss (of paint). However... you have provided me with a way to get my new paint job earlier. I have to re-do my handlebars to put cruise on. My bars may "accidentally far backward" and hit my tank or some other unforeseen tank related mishap may occur during this "maintenance" resulting in sweeeeeet paint for Joe.
Like a dumbass I was trying to do too many things at once. Work was finished for the day (so I thought) and I was out in the shop installing my HDPDPlus iPod interface from Iron Cross. BTW great people to deal with!
I have everything apart, I sit the tank on top of a 5 gallon bucket like always. While I'm in the middle of running cable, work telephone rings, about time I reach for it dog runs through my feet to chase a squirrel, I trip, leg hits the tank and down she goes. Tank did a flip off the bucket and lands upside down on concrete.
Phucked up the paint, deep scratches on both sides at the top and a big chip on the left back.
So I'm standing there, wanting to scream, kick the dog, shoot the squirrel and throw the phone in the pool. Then it hits me, I'm a friggin dumbass and should have sit the tank on my work table! Nobody to blame but myself.
I see a custom paint job over the winter!
Just goes to show, you can screw something up and don't have to be on the road!
Oh, the HDPDPlus works great!
Where did you get your hdpd plus, I am thinking about getting one.
