Has anyone ever experienced or heard of anyone having one of their hard bag lids just split down the middle? Wasnt in an accident, just on a 1000 mile plus trip, got to the hotel and found that the lid was split down the middle. The bag wasnt over filled and didnt have anything sitting on top of the lid. Not sure if someone didnt try to break into the bag, but I dont see how they would have split it without breaking the paint. Right now the paint is holding it together plus I have used some tape to hold it together till I get back home. Thanks

 

Probably a defective lid. Strange..never heard of such a thing.
