I've been thinking about lowering my 03 Fltri both rear shocksand front forks springs but I would like to know if it affects the ride and handling.I know I'd have touse theHD profile low touring shocks,and the profile front end lowering kit.Reason to lower is to be off my toes and flat footed at stops. thanks for your imput.

Your ride will change with lowering your bike. The Low Profile from Harley ride like a log wagon. There are many to choose from that are better. I have a lowering kit on the back of my bike and Progressive springs on the front. I've gone down 1 1/4 in front and back and it handles great. The ride is quite a bit firmer though.
