My Rush slip-ons(not Big Louies) are starting to wear on me. I think they have 2.25 inch baffles but not sure. Maybe getting a little burned out after about 10K miles. I know that, as with seats, bars, etc., it's mostly personal preference but if anyone can offer up a recommendation I'd appreciate it. I think I can also change the baffles in the ones I have but not sure whether to increase or decrease the size to get a more throaty sound.
Thanks in advance,
R0ckie
2009 UC( last year w/o cat, I think), AN Big Sucker, Rushes, Xieds, and a little sparkly stuff.
i took my packing off my RUSH slip ons & wound up ptting the packing back on & i like the deep tone i get at idle from my RUSH 2.5" & decatted head pipe.
My Choice would be CFR and then Rush Big Louie pipes. I had 4"rineharts but they were raspy when you get on it. RCX 4" Exhaust has a deep tone but not like CFR and are quieter at speeds. V&H Monster oval/Round have a nice deep tone but are nice and mellow. V&H Hi output not so deep but loud when you get on it.

So you don't want it as loud?
A smaller baffle will be quieter. In your case if you have the 2.25" baffles, then the 2" baffles are the next quietest.
If you were to re-wrap your baffles, it will give it a deeper tone. This packing material does burn away after awhile.
