CFR = Cary Faas Racing
I have found deep sound is subjective to who is listening. It will also change depending on what header you have on the bike as well....
I am going to jump on the CFR bandwagon as well. They have a pretty deep sound to them. The S&S pipes on my bike have a really nice deep rumble to them. They always get peoples attention when I start my sled. I am probably going to end up with S&S or CFR pipes on my next bike.
My Rush slip-ons(not Big Louies) are starting to wear on me. I think they have 2.25 inch baffles but not sure. Maybe getting a little burned out after about 10K miles. I know that, as with seats, bars, etc., it's mostly personal preference but if anyone can offer up a recommendation I'd appreciate it. I think I can also change the baffles in the ones I have but not sure whether to increase or decrease the size to get a more throaty sound.
Thanks in advance,
R0ckie
2009 UC( last year w/o cat, I think), AN Big Sucker, Rushes, Xieds, and a little sparkly stuff.
I can send you some replacement baffle matting to help with the tone. It should produce a more solid note with fresh fiberglass. Could be a quick free fix to get them back to sounding like new. If you decide to use the 2.50" baffles we recommend dyno tuning a fuel management system due to the lack of back pressure.
The 2.50" is the largest/loudest/deepest baffle option we offer.
