I've been on a tour through the Rocky Mts and I began to notice what appears to be a small oil leak. For the past 2 days I have noticed a small dab of oil on the engine below my air cleaner. Could it be blowing back thru the air cleaner? It's definetely coming from higher up. It's puddling up right below air cleaner and right above the cam cover on the right side and appears to be a very small leak. Any thoughts or ideas?
Not advising anyone to do this, just telling how I handled this problem.
I have a 2000 Ultra with 77,000 miles on it. It has been upgraded with a 1550 kit along with a Stage I kit.
I was getting that little drop of oil ocassionally that dripped onto the top of the cam cover.
I removed the A/C cover and air cleaned and inserted a plastic "T" into the two vent lines and pointed the flow of vapor/oil back into the throttle body.
Have not had a drop of oil leak out of the A/C since installed it a few years ago.

The crankcase vents into the air filter housing on stock bikes. It's probably just a little excess oil that collected in the bottom of the housing & dripped out.
