OK guys first i wanna say thanks for a great site that has an amazing amount of info! Ive been searching for over a month about doing a 23" wheel on a new streetglide. Can anyone who has one tell me the correct way to do this for the best ride. I average 20,000 miles a year on my bike and have my wife with me alot. Not looking for the cheapest way looking for the best way. please include a parts list and pics if you can. Any info would be greatly appriciated. Thanks again! Now back to the search.
PS
anyone know the closet qualified shop close to WV that they would trust to do this type of work? Been kinda leaning toward going to camtech if i cant find anything closer.
I too am doing this in the fall as part of a new project. The guys at Camtech will definitely tell you new triple trees AND cut the neck. Others have told me that using thenHarley Trike triple trees is enough to keep a safe trailmformam23" wheel. Anything bigger will definitely require cutting into the frame.
I'd like to hear some thoughts from others, as well as see what the trail numbers vs. stock set up vs. a 21"x 18" set up I'm currently running.
