23 Inch wheel

I like the look of the 23 inch wheel on a bagger, however I heard you need to rake the front end. for those that are running a 23inch any handling issue to know about? I'm not a casual rider and push the handling to its limits, so this mod would not happen if it compromises handling? Thanks for any input you have! I have a 2004 Roadking.

You don't need to rake the frame (although there are some benefits to doing so). You should run 6 or 7 degree trees, which kicks out the wheel enough to keep your fender from banging into the crash bar. Handling is not compromised in the least, in fact, the billet aftermarket trees (look at HHI or Pickard) stiffen up the front end, and if it's all put together correctly, your handling will improve from stock. Better looks, ride and handling, it's all good.
