Default hammock seat

I have a 2011 street glide, put a harley hammock seat on it, also a backrest, if it is all packed together seems to work ok. First install was done with regular service so HD put it on. I took it apart to clean, can get it put back the way HD installed it, but requires allot of force. The seat without backrest does not seat firmly on the fender, causes it to rock side to side. Put the backrest on it, the seat is wider than the backrest, rubbing holes in the bottom edge of seat cover. I'm taking it back this week, wondered if any known issues with this product. Is it possible that this seat is for a different model/fender.

My 2011 FLHTK came with the Hammock Seat and I added the Heated Version Hammock and have the H-D riders backrest. No issues taking it on or off, no force needed. Slides on and off as any other seat. Are you sure you don't have anything blocking the seat from being placed on the bike?

I have the heated hammock seat on my 2012 FLHTK. It sits firmly against the frame and fender, and does not rock. Goes on easy too.

As the previous poster stated, make sure you don't have any electrical connectors or fat cables laying across the ECM, along the frame rails or in the area of the plastic cover that holds the ECM and battery in place, especially where the cover angles down near its mounting bolts.

Likewise no troubles. In fact, I noticed the rocking on the Tallboy that I demoed from the dealer, but the hammock always fit snug.

My Hammock fits snug and is the most comfy all day long I have ever riden on.

But the hole doesn't line up worth a damn for Driver's backrest.
The rear part of the seat won't work with a HD Passenger Sissy bar without rubbing on the seat.
I had a guy just email me that his rear speaker pods on his Ultra rubbed a hole in his Hammock seat.

Why did HD design a great seat that doesn't fit?

It looks worse in person:

Yep,bought a brand new Hammock and within a week I had two fresh holes. My dealer refunded me gladly. I'm still in search of the perfect seat.

I never installed the rider backrest on my 2011 FLHTK but that was the most comfortable seat I've ever & seemed to fit my Limited ok.

I bought a Hammock seat for my 2010 Ultra off ebay. When I first put it on I noticed that the passenger seat fit very tight between the rear speakers. I had a hard time attaching the rear screw. Had to push the rear of the seat forward to screw down the screw to the fender. The passenger part of the seat doesn't look like it has as much room as the OEM seat had but the rider part of the seat has more which is why I bought it.

I think the Tour Pack can be moved back a notch or two on the new frame bikes. I'll check and see if mine can be moved back to give the passenger more room.

The seat is the most comfortable I have ever sat on. Took a long ride this weekend and my *** laughed the whole way.

My hammock fit fine on both my '11 Streetglide & my '11 RKC. However, the bottom of the detachable sissybar I used on the SG did rub small holes on each side of the seat bottom, due to the seats width. They're not really visible & I just glued a little leather patch over them to prevent further damage.

I love the hammock seat, also love my Danny Gray solo seat (on 90% of the time) the problem was the solo seat used the same two studs that the HD backrest uses. I canabalized the HD backrest and fabricated a new bracket that bolts directly to the seat pan so now my backrest comes off with the seat. I can adjust the angle of the rest it still moves foward and is sturdy. Geezer Glide to bar hopper in minutes.
