I run 36 front and 40 rear, regardless of whether I'm riding solo or heavily loaded and two-up. My rear tires last about 12k. My first front went 39k. The second has 25k and still looks good.

I think most would agree to run whatever the max recommended is. That number varies when you change tire brands from the stock Dunlops. I do believe that running the pressures on the high side helps the mileage.

36 front/40 rear. I got 16000 from my rear tire and have 25000 on my front with plenty of tread left.
