It's a good enough deal. 450 miles is a brand new bike but I am particular about color.
Some people don't care about what color they have, they just want a bike. I want to be drooling when I walk out to the garage.
The Denim paint will also start to show as glossy on rub marks like where your jeans run on the gas tank.
I don't know why but shiny paint dulls and dull paint shines when rubbed.
are you financing it or paying cash (no I am not asking your personal business)
if financing the best rates are on NEW bikes and that price is not that great that you couldn't get it on a brand new one in the next month or so when the dealers try to dump their 12 inventory in prep for the 13's
if you are financing the the used interest rate may make that bike MORE expensive than if you were to buy brand new at a dealer and get a better rate.
what you need to look at if you do finance it is what the TOTAL cost will be, what is your payback
an 18.5k used bike may be 23k in the end, a new 19.5k bike may be the same 23k or even 22k or less based on interest rate
I am about to pull the trigger on a used Street Glide and need a gut check. It is a 2012 with only 470 miles on it. Not a scratch, ding, dent or blemish. It is flat black, It has rush pipes and i can get it for $18,500. Is this a good deal?
Call/visit the original dealer and check to see if it had any unusual service completed. You're going to pay sales tax on your purchase, so, if the way be clear, I'd offer $18k minus the applicable sales tax for your state.
Good luck. The SG is a best seller among the Tourers. There's a reason for it.
I agree with "lgenf" about interest rates. I suggest you do the math on interest rates if borrowing(it could be cheaper buying new with HD financing). One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that you would still have warranty on the bike. It does sound like a good deal though.
If it was a Road Glide Custom, I'd swap tins with you too! Didn't see the denim black till two weeks after I bought my yellow. Love my yellow, but that denim black....

Its a good price if title is clean, and ABS and Security package. MSRP is 19,995 plus tax, lic, prep and delivery. But its a good point that if you are financing with a better rate on a new bike you could possible save at the end of payments.
