i run the c&c solo with the back rest and love it, the seat fits the frame tight . my wife just recently purchased a street glide and needs the seat narowed on the sides for comfort. any thoughts own who makes a narrower seat ?

I'm sure C&C would be happy to narrow down a seat for her. Lots on here have said great things about Mean City Cycles.
another fan of C&C. I had a Solo and Sport Tour on my FatBoy, now have a Solo for my new Street Glide. I too have been thru a lot of seats and C&C always comes out on top. Looking into getting a passenger pillion for the Solo.
Ive had 3 C & C seats and have been happy with all of them.
On my Fastback on the Road Glide I can easily go full tank to empty with out a stop and do it a couple times a day, so 400 + miles IMO is comfortable for me.
Seats are subjective and you really have to try them out for yourself.
C&C makes a great solo seat. I've tried the two up seats, but the higher cut for back supports I didn't really car for. Chuck and Dave a great people to deal with. There is no better looking seat out there.
I've had: ˇ H-D Stock seats ˇ H-D Sundowner ˇ H-D Tall boy ˇ Mustang Solo & two up AND ˇ C&C
Love my C&C the absolute most!! Mine has the gel in it...and for longer rides it far, far more comfortable & stylish) than my Mustang ever was.
KEEP IN MIND: how I define and describe comfort will be much different than how you or the others that may disagree with me describe it. However, I will always keep my C&C seat!! One additional thought: you hardly, if ever see "Used" C&C seats out here...I see A LOT of used Mustangs though.
I also bought the passenger pillion and the OL loves it. I got the larger 13"pillion. One other thing...the service that C&C gives is OUTSTANDING. Just call them and they will prove it to you. I thought that I'd like a leather seat until talking to them. They know what they're doing!

There is a complaint I antisipate that never comes up though. Most of the good after market seats seem to be exclusively leather with vinyl sides. I think C&C turns out a lot of all vinyl seats.
i don't understand your comment. how can it be 'exclusively leather' if it has vinyl sides? and c&c does the same thing, the seating area is leather, and the sides are vinyl. and yes, you can buy a entire vinyl seat from them. its about $35 cheaper.

i'd go with the leather
When I said "exclusively leather" I meant the seating SURFACES are always all leather. As far as I know everyone does vinyl sides. C&C is the only quality aftermarket that will sell a 100% vinyl seat. Anyone who bought 100% vinyl could lodge a complaint attributed to C&C when it was really their fault for not buying the leather. I have never seen that but I anticipate seeing that at some point.
