Anyone know anything about these? The salesman I asked
didn't give me much of an answer.
Do they lock the bag closed or just lock it to the bike?

Based on where it located, it looks like it just locks the bag to bike.
One aftermarket option to lock the bag itself can be found at http://www.inertiawrx.com . It can lock the bag automatically when it is closed or you can position the key so it will not lock until you want it locked.

I kinda figured the Harley item just locked the bag to the bike.
But for $199.95 I was hoping for some serious harward inside the bag.

I haven't installed the 46316-04 yet, but plan on getting it. By looking at the instruction sheet it has a cable mechanism similar to othe RK Custom bags. You can order it with matching keys. You can get the Instruction sheet in PDF at www.harleyhog.co.uk.

I just bought this lock set with the matching key code, but haven't installed it yet ... got if from zanotti at 20% off.
It locks the leather bags so they can't be opened and hence can't be removed from the bike. Should keep the honest folks out.

I too bought my lock set from zanottimotor. Instead of my local dealer price of $199, I got mine for $144.90..........thats a nice savings.
I too order the kit with my lock code so my original keys fit my new bag locks.
Yes it does lock the leather bag closed, so you can't get at the clips to remove the bag. My favorite mod sooooooo far.
