Just got a response on the SuperTrapp forum. Guru says with my Mods it should require 15-17 disc. With this info I'm thinking to start out on the lower end and working from that point.
Update: Received the SuperTrapp today and installed it. Hardest part was taking the old system off. Anyway the install went well and the fit and finish is outstanding. I went with 16 disc which is in the middle of what the SuperTrapp Guru recommends. So I've started it up and it sounds pretty darn good, I'll go for a ride later as now I need to reroute my clutch cable as the Indy routed it not to my liking after putting in the new Clutch & Cable.
I had 2 to 1 thunderheader on my 05 with a bore of 98". 100hp and 110lb tq. Tooooo loud for me. I put the 2 to 1 ST on, all 20 disk and open end. Not as loud and gained 2 lb tq. Hp didn't change.
i like the sound with 8-10 discs with open end cap, think it runs better also, but momma wants it quiet,so I'm at 16 closed cap,USE LOTS OF ANTISIEZE on the cap screws i like the high heat copper stuff,if not you will snap the screws off next time u change em,if that happens pull the whole muffler, use a broom stick from the front to knock the baffle out, then shoot with oil from the backside and they will them come right out.

I'm thinking of selling my Fatcat and doing the same. Did you have to re-tune?
SuperTrapp told me 16-18 disk to start. I put in 17 and didn't like it at all. Sound was good, but power was way off over my Jackpot slip ons. I put 20 on with the closed end and it sounds great and runs pretty good too. I had to do some adjusting on my maps to get it to pull down low like it did with the Jackpots, but it is doing great now. I am glad I changed mine. Jackpots are good and make lots of power, but just too loud.
I'm using all 20 with closed end cap and it runs great. I find 20 is still pretty quiet
I'm gonna pick up an open endcap when I want to be a little louder.
Bingo, after 16 1/2 years I think I've finally found the correct exhaust for my Road King. It seems to be quiet enough at idle and start up but still has that good Harley sound. It has returned a lot of my low end torque that I lost with the BUB true duals. I went out for two hundred miles today and it seemed to have instant pick up when I did roll on acceleration. It has roughly the same seat dyno performance as when I had the ThunderHeader but a lot less noise. I may need to rich-in it up a bit
