New Guy
Congrats on the new scoot, you're going to love it!
Take it real easy at first. Stay off the front brake when going slow, like in parking lots,
etc. That thing will drop you quick if your wheel is turned and you hit it too hard.
Enjoy the new ride, and welcome to the forum!

Before you go seat searching, try a pair of boots with a two inch heel. I use logger boots and have no problem being flatfooted. Also move yourself to the front of the saddle when you need to move the bike around with your feet. I am two inches shorter than you and have kept the stock seat on my RoadGlide Ultra. No problems.
Congrats on the new bike!
As Casper says, just ride the bike for awhile and don't rush to change a bunch of stuff right away. See what you want after you're ridden for awhile, it will save you alot of money. My bike was 2 yrs old before I changed anything at all. Now I've gradually made little changes to get it "just right".
These are great bikes, very reliable and just alot of fun. Check in to this site each day and you'll learn a helluva lot about riding and H-D's from this bunch.

I had Honda Shadows in the past; VT700 and VT1100. Good bikes but the SG is in a different league, as you have already found out. I think you made a great choice, congrats on that. Remember the extra 100s of pounds and ride carefully. You will gradually learn the limits of your bike and how to handle it well.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Congrats on the new scoot. You're going to love it for sure. Try a few different seats out before making the purchase. Check out EBay. Corbin makes a nice seat as well as C&C, Danny Gray, and Mustang. I prefer Corbin, but to each his own. I've got easily 250,000 miles on Corbins. They take some breaking in, but you can have them made to fit you perfect. Give em a yell if your interested.
Welcome fellow Buckeye! I spent my younger years on a Honda CB750 and I learned real quick on how much the the front end weighs on a Harley. Even my previous Road King was heavier to me, especially when coming to a stop or on slow speed navigating. The Limited has even more weight on the front. You will get used to it. Can't offer any advice on a seat, as I needed mine to put me back a few inches for more leg room. Have fun and be safe!
