New Guy
Completely stock for now. I'll need lots of practice on this sucker before I do anything else. It's a much different bike than I'm used to but so far so good. Bought it yesterday and put around 90 miles on it.
Any advice on moving up to a tourer. I'd like to get this seat about an inch closer to the ground as I'm a midget (5'9" 220lbs) with big quads.

I would ride it, learn the bike before I spend money on stuff...a little chrome here and there is fine...but you may want to hang out at the HD shops, biker handouts and see what looks good to you and what doesn't...we all like different things. What I like you may thinks stinks....all in the eye of the owner. Don't be in to much of a rush to change things....
Most end up changing exhaust and mufflers, runs better, cooler and sounds great. Do some research, use the search function in this forum for exhaust upgrades etc...
For my 2012 , I'm putting a chopped tour box and solo mount, painted inner fairing, CB radio, and de-catting the stock exhaust for now.
I would like to go with a FullSac header pipe, good mufflers(all are good, just which one floats ya boat) a Arlan Ness big sucker air breather and a TTS tuner..but that's me, you may want something else, and that's good.
Take your time, enjoy the bike, be safe....

Best thing I did was get a learn to ride DVD about stopping, turning, weaving etc. Even though I have not had time to practice much at all just watching has already made me a better rider.
These bikes are heavy - always keep that in mind.
