Well been shopping around for a street glide and I am at 99% to pull the trigger. There is still a small percentage that says i can get a better price. My trade in value could be a little higher also. One dealer said 8768. plus my bike out the door. The second dealer said 8344. out the door. These were the best prices they can do, the said. I still think they can do a gift card or something. I will need security installed which is another 329 on top of the otd. So after a little negotiating the second dealer is giving me 8344. plus a 250 parts gift card. This helps but still cant help to think there is more wiggle room. I have not played dealers against each other, yet. I just want the best price and for the dealer to be happy. I am not asking to much. These prices are for no abs/security package thus the reason for at least security.
Hey pontiac I remember you from the dyna days. Welcome to the touring side of things. Your gonna love the Street Glide. But if I were you I would go for the abs its worth every penny imo. It already saved my *** once already. Well good luck on your purchase and Im sure I will be seeing you here. Ride Safe!

you really need to get the two prices seperate and not let them give you and "OTD" price that includes the bike and trade because you will get played all the way around. go back to the negotiation table and get them to give you a set price on the bike and then a set price on the trade and you do the math on your own. I bought my 2012 Road Glide Custom in black denim for $21,688 out the door with power pack and 5 year warranty. granted, im in georgia but still, that is something to shoot for. the actual bike itself before tax, tag, license was $20,200. after you get that bottom line price, THEN get them to give you a price on a trade. Also, look into selling your bike on ebay and I PROMISE you that you will get more than what they are giving you at that dealership. The key to ebay though is to start the bid at .99 cents and set the reserve price at your minimum selling price. the 99 cents gets the bidders to start bidding and then get attached with their emotions
I live in the same area and probably been to the same dealer. I also have been thinking about a 2012 SG. I currently have a 2006 SG. They gave me this deal which I thought was pretty good, $6500 plus my bike.
I test drove the 2012 and said, WOW! what a difference. More power, much smoother, handled great and loved the ABS and cruise control BUT I didn't like the seating position. My knees felt like they were too high compared to my comfortable 2006. The dealer said it was due to the frame change.
I would have to change the handlebars and the seat for starters. Then I began thinking about the heat issue, having to invest in a stage 1 setup etc. then I looked at all the goodies and creature comforts on my old bike that I couldn't transfer to the new bike because they wouldn't fit. Finally, because I didn't want to start over and incur all the expense of making it my own, I decided to keep my 2006 but the 2012 is still on my mind!
