Default Help identifying Progressive Shocks...

Hello All!

My 08 FLHTC has Progressive shocks installed from the previous owner. The set up doesn't seen right for me and I was trying to research what model shocks he installed. I have looked and cannot seem to see any type of model number on them. Am I just missing it? My dealer told me the previous owner was a "Little Guy" and I am sure he had these shocks spec'ed to his riding weight. I do know they are 11" eyelet to eyelet so he did lower the rear by 2". I do like the look of it and I am liking the lower rear but def am bottoming out WAY too much. If I could identify them at least that would be a starting point to see which model to move too. Currently I moved the pre-load to wide open which seems a bit better than when I picked it up (he had them the second from the tightest pre-load) again seems a bit better to me..maybe more travel before bottoming? I will most likely address this over the offseason due to the fact I am not blessed with year round riding weather, unless I add a set of skis to the front! Maybe move to Ohlin's?? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
Ride safe!

hard to tell what they are, but some of the people here have shipped them back to have a heavier or lighter spring put on,and the price seemed to be fair. might check that option out.

The look like the 412's that I have. They do come in a standard spring or a heavy spring. Of course I cant tell from the pics which spring you have but I have heard of some that sent the shock back to Progressive for a spring change at a reasonable cost.

That's what makes this forum a beautiful thing!! An option I hadn't even thought about! Sending them back for a spring replacement sure as hell beats buying new ones! Thanks Guys! A call to Progressive is in the future!

They are the cheaper ones. Not alot better than stock. I have 440s and they are a pretty good improvement.
