Default Street Glide Seat Options

Here is my current seating setup or my 2010 Streetglide. For short to mid range rides I use the oem 2010 Streetglide seat. The bike looks really sporty with this seat. The problem is on 2 up riding or long distance. For those type rides I have a oem 2009 Electra Glide seat. It's much more comfy, especially for my wife, but it changes the looks of the bike. I've considered buying a oem 2012 Streetglide seat since they have better padding than my 2010 oem seat. This probably won't solve the comfort issue for my wife. What seating options are you guys using on your FLHX? How many of you use multiple seats depending on the ride?

On my 2010 Street Glide I purchased the 2011 CVO Street Glide seat. I found it MUCH more comfortable for me. I could spend much more time in the saddle than I could with the stock seat. My wife was much happier with the CVO seat as well. The seat looked great and didn't break the bank. The inlay they used on the CVO seat IMO looks really nice.

Those CVO seats look really nice, but the ones I have seen on Streetglides I thought were all about looks. They didn't look like they provided much comfort to the rider. I'll take a closer look.

For two up riding, I'd go with a HD Sundowner...I had one on my 07 Classic and found it very comfortable, plus it looks OK on the SG....but that's just me...
I run a solo 'cause I'm solo 99% of the time.

The 2012 CVO Seat doesn't look as comfortable as my 2011 seat does. The 2011 drops you down about an inch and back a bit. IMO one of the best seats I've sat in. See if you can come across a 2011 CVO Street Glide and have a seat in it. That's what sold me on it. Well the comfort as well as the looks.

+1 on the '11 cvo sg seat. thats what i put on my Sg. we've done quite of few 250 ml+ rides and a 312 ml ride and wife says the seat is awsome. im 6'1" and it fits me well and a little better on the back side than the stock seat for me.

Take a look at Corbin classic solo seat. I have one it is awesome and the wife finds the removable passenger pad wider and much more comfortable than the stock seat. By the way a streetglide looks awesome with a solo seat when you are alone.

Multiple seats here. My OEM 2009 seat that came with the bike is for sale -- I just could never get comfortable with that seat. The bike came with a Hammock seat which is extremely comfortable for me, but the pillion seat is very "level" and my passengers slide forward easily. My favorite short ride (or solo ride) seat is a 2010+ "Low" OEM Street Glide seat. My favorite two-up seat is a 2010+ OEM Ultra seat. Passengers say they like it the best for them.

My wife loves the 2009 oem Ultra seat, but I just don't like how it looks on the Streetglide. That's the same problem I'm having with the Sundowner.
