2005 ultra classic not charging.when it is running it drops to 11 volts.when turn off driving lights the battery light goes out,so it must be charging some but not enough.The cables have been checked to make sure they are tight.any suggestion?

 

first off take the battery out and have it tested at the store...after that you should check the charging system it could be either the regulator of the stator...does the voltage go up when you rev the motor???

 

No the voltage does not go up when the RPM is increased

 

How do I check the regulator and the stator to figure out if the stator is working or not
