Default Biketronics Titan Amplifier

Well, today I installed a new Sony deck with the Retro Radio kit and the Biketronics Titan Amp in my 05 Ultra. I had been running the factory radio with the factory 4 channel amplifier, and at 80-85 mph, the wind noise made the stereo hard to hear clearly.

All I can say about this new setup is "HOLY BAT SH#TMAN, THIS THING IS LOUD!!!!!! Standing next to the bike, I can't even get it turned all the way up before it actually starts to be painful in my ears and have to turn it down. Clear as a bell, too, no noticable distortion. Got done too late tonight to test it, will do that tomorrow, but I have no doubt that I will be able to hear clearly at any speed. I think I will be able to give the lowriders with their boom boxes a run for their money

Also at the same time, I swapped my XM radio to the Harley one....another good investment. Hard mounted to the left switch housing, able to withstand rain, All wiring was run through the clutch cable hole, antenna under the fairing, and the aux wire through the radio hole with just enough hanging out to be usable, no more.

Anyone wanting more info on the amp:

Will post an update after riding tomorrow!!

Default UPDATE

Well, It got up to 37 degrees and I went out for a test ride. All I can say is [sm=happybounce.gif][sm=happybounce.gif]

I can hear clearly up to 85 and still have 4 clicks of volume left. This is without the rears speakers hooked up, too. Nice clear sound and no distortion, although the small speakers are being pushed to the limit. I sure do wish the fairing would hold 6 1/2" speakers.

Default RE: UPDATE

How would you compare the bass with and without the amp. What kind of speakers you running.

Thanks
