Note that the matte black "Ultra Slim Profile" helmets are NOT the same (different part numbers: AX-300X0 for the "Ultra Low Profile {insert color here} (X denotes color: 1 for Gloss, 2 for Rosewood Red, 3 for Matte) Carbon-Fiber Motorcycle Half Helmet" vs AX-40XXX for the "Ultra Slim Profile Fiberglass Black Matte Motorcycle Half Helmet"

If you look at the pictures of each, you'll see the interiors are very different from the AX-300X0 to AX-40XXX models. I have one of the AX-40025 models: it fits almost exactly like my Daytona-brand half helmet (which is smaller than a lot of other models, but not close to being confused with a novelty lid).

Couldn't agree more. I got sick of wearing a novelty beanie just to be cool. I finally woke up and decided safety was more important so I ordered a DOT. I did a lot of research and settled on the Outlaw Ultra Low Profile Carbon Fiber Matte and love it. It looks great on and does NOT give the shroom appearance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I ordered a AX-30010 from leatherup.com this afternoon and got a tracking number a couple of hours later.

Had to have been XL... S, M, L & 2XL are all sold out, and have been for a while. Bummer for me..., I need a bigger noggin!

I'm on the email notification list when M is back in stock (for both the matte and gloss helmets). If only my 'Glide was the Merlot...the Rosewood Red model is in stock in most sizes.

correct, I guess I got lucky. If I like this better than my HD ultra-light, I'm gonna be pissed! Or happy, or...... well ya know what I mean. At under $80 shipped it was worth a shot.

That you did sir! And I'm guessing the HD helmet was a lot more than $80 shipped!

Hopefully the crafty foreigners who are building these helmets for Outlaw are done with whatever holiday/strike/turmoil they've been dealing with and can get some product out the door soon! I'm kinda in need of a new lid (mine's 2 years old, and has been dropped/fallen off the scoot/tables a few times!
