Default Drivers backrest

Howdy
I have a 1987 flhtc and I got turned on to me a good 1989 flhtc seat with the slot for a drivers backrest. My ? is will the OEM backrest fit my bike with the newer seat? Im starting to get Autritus in the middle of my back and after 50 miles of riding it starts to be uncomfortable. I kown I will have to drill new holes in the tourpak because the seat is about 1 inch longer

With a scooter that old, I would ask a parts dealer's opinion. If he says yes it will work and then it doesn't, you can at least get your money back.

I would check with the dealer but my thinking is that close in years on the same model it should work. Agian this in my opinion.
