Default Street Glide dash bag

Mornin' all. Did a search, but couldn't find a good solution yet...

I've got a SG and always run the short windshield. I'm looking for a good solution to keep a garage door opener and other little stuff on the dash. Minimal size is best with the short windshield. Anyone come up with a good solution?

Thanks... Paul

I have the 3 pouch HD one. I also have the HD 6.5" shield. So it sticks out just alittle on the side, but not enough to notice if you'r enot looking for it. The pouches are great.

Might workif you took a 3 pouch unit and removed the two outside pouches, or even take them to a leather repair guy and have them altered a bit to fit below the windshield.

I've been looking for a solution since day 1 and I've still not found one. You would think that someone would have created a "Low Profile" fairing bag by now.

Hmm... Thanks for the replies. I'm going to the Vtwin show in Cinci and the DealerExpo in Indy next month. I'll keep my eyes open and let you all know if I see anything there.

I use the single box type from Harley with a short shield. They say it wont work but look at the pic.

This may not be the approach you're looking for, but I had this arrangement on my old RK for about eight years, and it worked great. I took the remote control and replaced the internal switch with a remote switch by soldering two wires to the switch poles inside the remote and out to a pushbutton on the dash (red button on left in photo). On my RK I mounted the remote inside the right side cover and the switch on the frame near the starter, so on my SG I have the remote wire-tied inside the fairing, and my experience is the battery lasts for several years. Some have wired the switch into the horn, but since the remote is 9VDC I would not want to wire it into a 12VDC system, and the 9V battery lasts long enough.

I got the switch from Radio Shack and it isn't labeled as waterproof, but a similar switch lasted many years on the RK, so I'll wait and see how well it lasts. They also have black if you don't like the red, but I thought red would be easier to see in the dark. It isn't and might prefer black, and although I bought both I really don't dislike the red enough to bother.

I saw a guy with one of these yesterday on his SG at the local HD dealer and it looked great on there. Thanks for posting because I was wondering who made it.
