Any opinions on the $199 HF jack? That's what I kinda had my eye on prior to this thread. I gotta say watching that J&S video already has me wanting that jack though...
You have $30K tied up in your SG?? I bet you have your dealer's handprints on both of your hips LOL Did it hurt when he stuck you for 10k in bling?? Let's see this 30k SG LOL How many miles does it have? Did you get that bubble cover for it? You know..the one with the air humidifier ??
Um, its easier to hit 30k than you think.
Been there, done that. (and not bitching about it)
Yeah what he said. I can't see spending thousands of dollars on a hd and trying to lift all that weight with cheap iron from china. I'm a welder by trade and i know junk iron when i see it, an lift's from hf are made of junk iron material. I lift my bike with a j&s jack and feel safe under and around it with no tie down straps. Top grade steel and hardware, great craftsman ship. You can buy with confidence when you buy a j&s jack. That's my
A man that knows quality when he sees it & uses it! Finally! My J&S has almost paid for itself with what I am able to work on the bike myself! It will last for years to come & is made in the ole USA! They have excellent customer service also! See what happends when those $60.00 China jacks fall apart & drop your bike! LOL.........
I have had my HF yellow jack for 3 years and use it frequently. I always use the lock handle and ratchet ties. I feel confident in its construction and when installing my highway pegs I actually climbed on the bike while it was jacked up without worry. I have used this on both my RK and now my Limited. Buy what makes you happy. I am happy I am saving hundreds of $$$ on a jack.

I've got the same bike...I have the $70 one from HF and love it. I thought the same thing as you initially, but then I agree with Tucci...I too would like to buy an old garage that went out of business and set up shop there, but until I win the lottery, my lift is exactly what I was hoping it would be..very effective and did not break the bank. I also drop the bike on the safety mechanism to realese the pressure on the bottle when it's in the air.
I've also sat on the bike while in the air (only a couple of inches off the ground) to move the handle bar angle. I'm 225# and there were no issues for me.
Completely satisfied.

My 2012 FLHX Street Glide MSRP $19,995.00 + $10,000.00 in Genuine HD accessories & Screamin Eagle parts! My J&S jack delivered to my door just under $400.00. Do you think that I'm gonna risk it all for a $60.00 jack made in China! LOL!..........
Yeah, like bikes fall off the cheaper jacks all the time.......NOT! (my old Sears red jack has been a dependable tool for about 6 years now, no complaints!)

....guys that spend $400 + on a jack are going to defend it till the death as "better" than the cheap ones...guys with cheap ones(like me, Sears $49.95 red one on sale)..are gonna make fun of them for spending that much...they both do the job...
