Had this problem for months now.
When i open the throttle all the way, it falls on its face...but if im in a gear and up in the high "Rs" the bike will go BUT If i shift up a gear and crack open the throttle, it bogs down and will almost die.
First time i noticed it, the dealer said it was the MAP sensor, replaced it and nothing changed.
I then noticed i had half a tank of gas. filled it up and it felt better...
I rode for months, after i got about 100 miles down...it would start to break up
When its hot out or im in traffic? it does the same thing...
Last night i went out around dusk...it was even worse...
The only things ive done to the bike...was replaced the map sensor months ago and i replaced my grips on saturday morning.
I need to fix this ASAP. This is the only thing that is still running. Thanks, Vinnie
Hspringer...tried to look at it yesterday. Pulled the pump up and ill i could see was the fuel line tightening up when we turned the key on.
Not sure if its a fuel filter or two???
this can also be a symptom of ignition timing not retarding when the throttle is whacked open.
( on older points ignition models the centrifugual weights could get stuck in full advance and the vehicle would drive like this...you could accelerate very gradually, but try to accell to fast and the motor would ping and make no power)
so there are more than a few things which can cause this problems
fuel delivery ( so checking pressure and volume to the injectors and the injectors themselves) and the
You guys all have good points...not sure where to start and not having the money to spend on 3 or 4 different parts, really makes it harder
.
I might have to steal the coil of my brothers road king and try it??? lol
so when i pulled the the fuel system up (not sure what all the parts are) i could not get the whole piece out. i tried to see if there was any problems...then i put it back together and the problem seams to be worse???
