'97 FLHTC Ultra. The original speakers in the fairing and rear are kinda poor to say the least. Any suggestions on what will work as a replacement?

I would try and contact them, I'm sure they can hook you up. I can't imagine that the speakers have changed that much.

Here is a reply I sent to a fellow this morning with a 97

96 and 97 were funny years--kinda like HD couldnt figure out what they were doin speaker size wise--this is a big reason we say 98 and newer--HOWEVER...... Im sure our speakers will fit in the front of a 97. Your speakers will be riveted to the grills--and those rivets will need to to be drilled to release the stock speaker from the grill--dead easy. Our speaker will go in with no re-reviting required.

Some 97's came with the new 5.25" speaker size in the rear, but some came with the older 4.25" size. Depends how late in the year your bike was built. If you pull one of your rear grills off, and measure from the top left speaker mount screw to the bottom right speaker mount screw--if that measurement is approx 5.5" our rear speaker will fit your bike. Either way Im sure our fronts will fit.Hope this helps--PEZ
