I'm looking at a new bike this year or next year. Currently I have a 2001 FXST, injected, with gear drive, woods 6 cam and SE II pipes. Runs great but I'm looking for something with a bit more comfort for longer trips (several thousand miles ) and just toolin' around for the day with the OL on the back.
I'm leaning toward the Electra glide but I'm interested in other people's opinion.
Ride both. They are both great sleds, it really comes down to personal preference. Some guys don't like reaching for the radio on the RG(though you can do most things with the bar mounted controls that come with the bike). Others make a decision based on how cool the bike looks. It all comes down to what is most comfortable for you.I wanted the frame mounted fairing.
Also, lots of Street Glide/Electra Glide vs Road Glide threads. Pages and pages of debate here on the forums.

I had a 08 Electra Glide Ultra and loved it, but this year I traded for a 2012 Road Glide Ultra 103 with ABS and it is a dream to ride. that's my choice.
