Anyone take the plugs out of the end of the factory mufflers and if so did it make a difference sound wise?
I popped mine off tonight (for I kept the set from my 07-96" that I removed the end plugs from) and noticed they are wide open, except for the baffle in the end which has 8 1/4" holes for the exhaust (sound) to exit from......
Just curious if anyone had removed the baffles only and how it sounded,
Thanks
I have American Customs mufflers on my 2008 Ultra. These are basically OEM mufflers with the baffles taken out. Love the sound though some of my buds complain about the bark they make if we're on the highway for a long stretch.
Rode them from Milwaukee to Sturgis last year and plan to do so again this year.
