Well while at americade in june I changed my gauges out to the medallion ones. I knew the bike was hot but never had an idea how hot until I did the gauge change due to the air temp gauge being replaced by an oil temp gauge.
So know I am wanting to get an oil cooler...
I am trying to find out if anyone has the Ultra Cooler Reefer, RF-2 Touring for Ultra Classic Electra Glide FLHTCU
This has 17 row cooling come open at 180 and closes at 220. It also has twin fans to assist with droppeing the tempture of the oil while stopped or in slow moving traffic.
Thanks in advance for any info/experience with this cooler.
Don
Oil temp gauges are a slippery slope....... Im too compulsive to own one...besides, the Harley proving ground is not too far from me and if a cooler was necessary to keep a bike from blowing up they would have come standard on the 96" bikes. The fact that they are on 103's and up is a direct result of the APG..........unless you live here in Crematoria (AZ).....well you know
A side note.....Im not judging by any means, Its the first thing I put on the bike........see what I mean about compulsive, and I dont even have an oil temp gauge.
Don't have one but am interested also. Here is another thread on them. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-sg-103-a.html
The one thing I have not seen answered is where is it made. I asked that in another thread but never got a answer.
