Default HD Tallboy Bars for Street Glide

I am considering the Tallboy bars for my 2011 FLHX. I would like to get a bar that has about 2" more rise and less grip angle ( I want the grips on more of a straight angle as opposed to being angled back which is hurting my wrists on longer rides)

Anyone here currently using the Tallboy bars on their touring bike and if so, could you shed some light on the grip angle as compared to the stock bars?

Steve

Also, do you have to change mirrors? I like the fairing mounted mirrors

Have them on my bike. Like them alot better than the stockers due to same reason you mention-wrist angle.

No idea about the fairing mirrors, sorry.

I have them and love them.Less wrist angle as mentioned.You will have to put mirrors on the bars though.Stock clutch cable and brake line work.

Wild 1's model 575. Chrome 1 1/4", drilled for internal wiring. Lots do them. I did on my Ultra, and I loved them.

I test rode an Ultra with Tallboy bars and really liked the height and angle. The down-side for me is that they were a couple of inches more forward than stock. I need more pull-back than that, so I opted for the WO575.

NitroCrushr;

I have the taller bars and absolutely love them. As to the mirrors, I also installed a painted inner fairing and got it without mirror holes then mounted mirrors onto the level housings. Better riding posture and much better rear view viewing. And, the chicks dig the look of a painted inner fairing. I mean c'mon, why else do we spend money on our bikes?

Good luck and post pics when you've completed the project.
